Are you ready for Spring Madness?  Warm temperatures have been waking snakes up across the country just in time for Spring Madness.

The Center for Snake Conservation, with the help of your votes on Facebook, has chosen 64 snakes to compete head-to-head to become America’s Favorite Snake.  To participate in the fun please fill in your bracket (download it by clicking here) and email it to the CSC as bracket@snakecount.org.  You can enter more than 1 bracket, but please mark them 1, 2 after your name (max per user is 2).

Scoring will be tracked as follows:

1 pt - 1st Round

2 pts - 2nd Round

3 pts - 3rd Round (Sweet Sixteen)

4 pts - 4th Round (Elite Eight)

8 pts - 5th Round (Final Four)

16 pts - 6th Round (Championship Game)

Follow the tournament beginning March 13^th and vote for your favorites on the CSC Facebook page.  During each round of the tournament, a game card will be posted along with two species cards.  All you need to do is “like” your favorite in each game.  The species with the most “likes” advances to the next round. 

The bracket with the highest number of points will be the winner.  To ensure your bracket wins, make sure you “like” your favorites each match-up and get your friends to “like” them too.  The following prizes will be awarded:

1. 3rd Place Overall: Basic CSC Membership

2: 2nd Place Overall: Standard CSC Membership (includes a CSC t-shirt)

3: 1st Place Overall: Field CSC Membership (includes a CSC t-shirt and invitations to CSC sponsored field trips across the country)
